Looking for outgoing, friendly people who would like to be an official part of “Seed the Change,” a large scale collaborative public artwork June 3-5th, 9am-6pm. (RAIN DATE: June 24th and 25th, 2016)
“Seed the Change” will be a collaborative drawing out of millet and black sunflower seed completed by artists, volunteers
and the public along a 400 ft stretch in front of the newly renovated Riverfront alongside the Arch. It is a visual metaphor for celebrating the human potential of St. Louis and the work to make it beautiful. St. Louis based organizations that embody this mission will be present with interactive activities and informative booths for the public to add to a festival atmosphere and encourage people to explore the newly renovated space.
No artistic background required. Volunteers are needed to assist in event set-up and cleanup, covering breaks for art ambassadors and partner organizations, and will engage with the audience in the creation of the the drawing for the duration of their shift(s).
Seed the Change is presented by Critical Mass for the Visual Arts and sponsored by the William E. Weiss Foundation
